I'm a working class American who understands the struggle of living paycheck to paycheck. Too many politicians are disconnected from the realities of everyday Americans who are barely getting by.
We need real working class representation. I've flipped burgers, answered phones at call centers, and stocked shelves at grocery stores. I'm not just another suit spit out by the establishment machine looking for a promotion.
As a former member of the UFCW local 536 and OPEIU local 277, I deeply understand the importance of labor and solidarity. I also see how the American working class is getting screwed while the rich get richer, all while the politicians on their payroll continue to peddle excuses for why they can't make our lives any better.
In my 32 years of living, I've never felt more left behind by the establishment than I do today. The party's abysmal approval rating of 26% (half of half!) indicates that I'm not alone in this sentiment. We are right to feel this way! For true political change, the Democratic Party needs to step up and actually earn our vote.
